Tonal Adjustments

Since stringed instruments are created from wood, which is resonant and breathing even after becoming a violin, viola or cello, they can experience changes with the seasons and varying levels of humidity in the air. An occasional re-positioning or re-tensioning of the sound post will solve many of the issues that arise with response or quality of sound. In addition, there are many other factors that contribute to an instrument sounding its best. Tonal adjustments may involve the sound post, bridge, alignment and choices from our comprehensive string selection. Adjustments are done by Rodger Perrin, and contribute to bringing some of the best instruments in the region to peak levels of performance.
