Perrin And Associates Fine Violins is a full-service string instrument establishment. We make, sell, rent and repair violins, violas and cellos. Our original location is at 517 N. Charles Street in the heart of Mt. Vernon in downtown Baltimore City where we have been in business since 1994. In July of 2021 we opened a second location in Ellicott City, MD.

Perrin And Associates is looking to hire an associate to join our team working primarily in our Ellicott City location. We are looking for a dynamic, focused individual with excellent communication skills. The associate will be responsible for working with customers, assessing their needs and directing them to appropriate departments to fulfill tasks through to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Answer phones and help walk-in customers.

·       Schedule appointments.

·       Rent student level instruments.

·       Send instruments for sale out on trial.

·       Receive instruments and bows for repair and rehair.

·       Sell instruments, bows, cases and accessories.

·       Take inventory weekly.

·       Clean up returned student instruments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Must be able to play a string instrument with some skill

·       Computer literate

·       Outgoing personality

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Attention to detail and an independent thinker

·       Must have a car and be willing to drive between the two shop locations

·       Must be available 2-3 evenings (2-7pm) a week AND Saturdays (9-4pm)

COMPENSATION:

·      Hours can be part time or more. Paid by the hour.

·      Commensurate with experience. $15 per hour minimum.

·      Mileage paid and compensation when travelling between shops

·      Possible stipend for health insurance costs (full time only)
